<p>Dann kam eine Phase, in der die Zeitungsverlage auch Geld mit dem Internet verdienen wollten. Erst wurden die Archive nur noch Abonnenten der Printausgabe kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt, dann auch die aktuellen Zeitungsartikel. Im Internet gab es nur noch Kurznews, nicht mehr die kompletten Artikel der gedruckten Ausgabe.</p>
<p>Interessant zu sehen, dass nun offenbar wieder mal Ernüchterung im Internet eingekehrt ist. Zeitungsverlage gehen dazu über, ihr Online-Angebot wieder gratis zugänglich zu machen. Geld soll mit Werbung verdient werden, nicht mit zahlenden Nutzern der Website. So beendete die New York Times kürzlich ihre kostenpflichtigen Online-Angebote.
