Fiorello (Baby)

After editing a lot of wedding images recently it’s baby time again :-)

When I got a phone call one day and Fiorello’s mum booked me to take the pictures of her future baby, it was still several weeks before the due date. Actually Fiorello was born on the exact day and I had the pleasure to photograph him two weeks later. He was really one of the sweetest babies I’ve ever photographed! Calm, patient, in a good mood and giving me a lot of time to take some great images of him. Congratulations to the proud parents!

Zsa Zsa Rules The World

The first child changes everything in the parents’ life. Now there is someone else taking the decisions. It’s not the parents’ decision anymore when they will go to bed at night or at what time they will get up in the morning. Suddenly the whole world looks very different and they will start to see it from another point of view. Zsa Zsa rules the world :-)

For the photographer invited to photograph a baby session it’s the same. Zsa Zsa wants to eat – you drink a coffee. Zsa Zsa wants to take a nap – you chat with the mum. There’s no hurry, there’s no pressure. It doesn’t help. You just wait. Zsa Zsa rules the world :-)

Welcome, Luana

In January last year I had the pleasure to photograph Janek, the first child of my best friends Michael and Eveline. It was my first “assignment” as self-employed photographer since I started my own business in 2007. With Janek’s images in my portfolio I was able to start and book some weddings and other portrait and baby sessions. Now it was time for the second round :-) Luana was born two weeks ago and Janek thinks it’s really cool to have a little sister!
